Yes, You Can Change

As bloggers we often get in the mindset that once we get started, we can’t change the topic or theme our blog – especially if we already have a good following. That just isn’t true. Sure, you may lose some traffic and readers, but if you are making a change that the Lord lead you to make, then you can be rest assured that He will make up for that lost one way or another.
Here are some tips if you feel led to change up your blog:
- Pray before making charges – As with anything, if you are thinking about changing the theme of your blog, pray about it first. Make sure it is what the Lord would have you to do. Ask for guidance, patience, and the right content to create.
- Don’t worry about what others will think – Remember you blog for a reason – to bring Glory to the Lord. Worrying about what others will think or do if you make a change is irrelevant. Don’t worry about losing traffic or readers. Ultimately God is control and He will guide your blog, not others.
- Stick with it – If you are going to make a change, do it. Don’t waver back and forth. It will confuse your readers and maybe even alienate them.
- Don’t fear – Remember you have God on your side so you have no reason to worry or fear about the outcome of your blog change. Romans 8:31 says “… If God be for us, who can be against us?”
You are not the first blogger to ever change topics and you will not be last. Just create great content, interact with your readers, and give God control and you can’t go wrong.
